Social Security Disability Lawyers in Ohio
If you qualify for benefits, you can file a social security disability (SSD) claim if you have suffered an injury that will completely prevent you from working for 12 months or more. However, you do not need to be unemployed for twelve months or more to file. Please contact us for a free initial consultation so we can help explain your rights to you, even if you have yet to file for disability. Unlike many other law firms, we provide one-on-one attention, and you get to talk to your attorney and meet your attorney (usually several times) prior to your hearing.
Even if you have not worked in several years, you could still be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). SSI is dependent on your income and that of your spouse. SSI is available to those who are no longer eligible for SSD, but still have evidence that of disability, even if it has been many years since the last date of employment. An initial rejection by social security does not mean that you are not entitled to benefits. We can assist determining eligibility and pursuing your claim, and have a proven track record of success in these cases, winning a large majority of the claims for our clients who have previously been denied benefits by the Social Security Administration.
No Upfront Fees
At Donaldson and Dunkle Law Offices, we never charge upfront fees. All initial consultations are free of charge. For workers’ compensation, SSD, SSI and discrimination cases, we do not obtain a fee unless we are able to obtain compensation through your claim. For unemployment cases, we charge a modest retainer that is usually affordable even for those fighting for unemployment. We will give you honest advice about your case, whether or not you eventually become our client. If you believe you are entitled to benefits, please contact us by completing this short questionnaire or call us at (419) 525-1984. We will be glad to help!
